INFINITY AND BEYOND

INFINITY AND BEYOND

INFINITY AND BEYOND

A timeless and emotional journey of unconditional love. The story of a mother and daughter as fashion becomes the thread binding their relationship. From tender moments to career inspiration, witness the power of couture in shaping memories, and watch the cycles of life, mirrored in the fabric of their paths. In this fashion film, we follow the stories of theses two characthers throughout key moments in their lives when fashion brought them together. This is all inspired by my own experiences in life. It is a personal story about my relationship with the person that moticated me to pursue fashion and art: my mother.

The song Acelera, by the drag queen singer Gallaxia, talks about a strong dominating womanseducing this man who thinks he is so masculine and poweerful, but at her spell, he is surrended. The inspirationg for the set and outfits was to put this woman in male centric enviroments, more specifically the motocycling world, but as the person calling the shots and bossing everyone around. She has the power in those spaces, as she screams and demands: Accelerate!

/ PITTY

This song, written by Pitty speaks about the control some people tend to impose when in a relationship, stating in its main verse: “At the end, no one belongs to no one”. So, for the first and final scenes, we used visual references from the movie Clockwork Orange, which talks about repression and control. For the party scenes, the inspiration was the underground clubs and the clubber aesthetic. Finally, for the nude scene, the insight was to mix traditional greek and roman styles with protest accessories and makeup. The director specifically asked for a denim jacket with the song title written on the back. I created the piece out of upcycled materials and painted the slogan by hand.

Pira is the first video I was completely in charge of the art direction. We came up with a narrative of a supernatural wealthy lady that invites her other-worldly friends over for brunch. The butler so serves them the meal but does not realize they are, in fact, interested in him. So Gallaxia does everything to seduce this man, and finally, when she gets her hands on him, she and her dancers devour the servent. One great visual reference for the video was the movie Rocky Horror Picture Show. The garments were full of laces, pearls and crystals to showcase the power of this rich woman. For the set design, we chose vintage elements, such as old portrait frames and books, and used this to leave some Easter eggs as well. During the meal scene, we played with phallic symbols, such as bananas and eggplants, for an element of humor.
